History
Philip and Sue Colthup took over Birdies Restaurant in November 1993 from the previous owners. Both highly qualified chefs, Philip mostly working in New York City and Sue working in the City of London.
Birdies is a well established friendly and family run French Bistro set in Harbour Street in the heart of Whitstable, just 15 minutes by car from historic Canterbury.
Combined with our love of France and good food we pride ourselves on fresh fish and locally sourced produce.
We are a relaxed and friendly environment and we look forward to welcoming you soon.

Our Menu Is Completely Based on Fresh and Local Produce
We love our local produce from our vegetables to our seafood, we work closely with fishermen and farmers to provide you with fresh food. Our menu is always changing so be sure to check our menu board to see the dish of the day.
